OPERATIONS & PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Los Gatos, CA  Kevin@KevinAKorb.com

Built and ran two businesses from the ground up before age 30, the kind of hands-on ownership experience most professionals don’t reach until much later in their careers. Running these businesses sharpened the same instincts a strong operations or program manager runs on: forecasting demand, optimizing costs, and proving ROI on every dollar and hour spent. Grew a business from $0 to $100K+ in annual revenue as a solo operator with full ownership of P&L and cash forecasting, and cut administrative costs 40%+ by redesigning workflows for a 25-person team serving 1,000+ families. Owned a P&L as a founder; fixed one as a hired operator.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Founder, Head Coach & Program Director | PingPong.info, Saratoga, CA   Jan 2023 – Present

  • $0 to $100K+ in annual revenue: scaled solo, with full ownership of P&L and cash forecasting for a self-built business.
  • Built the systems and SOPs that let one person run 4 business lines that would typically take a multi-person team: coaching, retail equipment sales and manufacturing, venue and event rental, and drop-in play and membership.
  • 100+ consumer products brought to market end-to-end, from design and sourcing through QC and retail fulfillment.
  • 100+ students coached over 3 years of operation; perfect 5-star Google rating across 21 reviews; named “Top Event Venue in Saratoga, CA” (2024-2026) and “Best Youth Sports Program in Silicon Valley” (2025-2026).

Operations Manager | Center for Developing Minds, Los Gatos, CA   Sep 2019 – Mar 2023

  • Led a 25-person multidisciplinary team, directing operations for a behavioral health clinic serving 1,000+ families.
  • 40%+ reduction in admin costs: enhanced team efficiency through cross-functional workflow redesign and an EMR migration covering 5,000+ patient records.
  • Preserved continuity of care through COVID-19’s abrupt shift to remote operations via new HIPAA-compliant protocols.

Founder & General Manager | TopSpin Table Tennis, Santa Clara, CA   Jun 2015 – Jul 2019

  • Acquired and ran a 13,350 sq. ft. facility — one of the nation’s largest — with full P&L ownership; negotiated leases for two facilities, sourcing, building out, and orchestrating a move to a new location after the landlord sold the original building.
  • Operated the business as a full-time college student, taking a gap year to establish systems and protocols while running it onsite, then managing it remotely after returning to campus to complete a B.A. at USC.
  • Hired and trained a 10-person team of coaches and front-desk staff (including a 2x Olympian) on day-to-day SOPs.
  • Organized high-caliber events for top tech companies including Apple and Netflix, plus an A-list celebrity fundraiser at Dodger Stadium for the Clayton Kershaw Foundation (with Excel Sports Management).
